AARM

AARM (Acquire, Activate, Retain, Monetize) is a framework for product strategy and growth.

Components

Four rows pair acquire with qualified visits, activate with a first useful action, retain with use in a later period and monetize with a completed purchase. Events, eligible users and time windows must be defined; stages need not occur in fixed order.
Conceptual metric map adapting four lifecycle categories to AARM. The example signals need product-specific definitions; they are not reported results or a conversion funnel. Original diagram based on Alistair Croll and Benjamin Yoskovitz, Analytics frameworks for the startup lifecycle.

Usage

Used for strategic planning around user growth and revenue generation. Helps prioritize product initiatives across the user lifecycle.
