Career Roadmap

Career Planning

Short-Term Goals (0-2 years)

Medium-Term Goals (2-5 years)

Long-Term Goals (5+ years)

A branching roadmap starts with a project or role-shadowing experiment, moves to a review of evidence, and opens three options: deepen expertise, broaden scope, or explore a pivot. A return path encourages another experiment. Later options are not probabilities or a required career ladder.
A roadmap can preserve long-term direction without pretending the route is fixed. This conceptual branching map uses experiments and review points; its branches are alternatives, not probabilities or promised progression. Original diagram based on Stanford Life Design Lab, Designing Your Life.
